This is a quick article about how everything is sold to us.
There are many ways that we are manipulated into buying a product, idea, law, politics, war… etc. Am I imagining things when I see commercials selling pills for everything ‘We Need,’ then see commercials sometimes right after the pill commercial, for lawyers wanting to represent you because one of these little magic beauties has caused you harm?
My first concious experience of being manipulated into buying something, (a law), was in 1983. I was in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Legal Service Specialist MOS 4421. I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California and had to attend a class where we were presented with the idea… “I never unbuckled a dead man.” Yes, it was prior to the seat belt law that was soon to come into existence.
What they had proposed was to try it out upon U.S. military installations to see what the response would be. ‘Would anyone buck the system?’ Well, not hardly when you have the Uniform Code of Military Justice hanging over your head. If a Marine was to defy their experimental seat belt order they would be looking at far more than a ticket.
Soon afterward, I ended up at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina working for the Base Staff Judge Advocates Office. This is a priority one office. (Considering Lejeune spearheads most military operations and of course there are legalities involved.). It was there that I over heard the Lawyers discussing how the ‘bean counters’ had already estimated how much in surplus revenue the Government would receive now that the seat belt proposal was about to become a reality.
This was the first time I took notice that our Government and those in power to be, had sold us. What I heard was money and revenue. Nothing about how many lifes would be saved. (And for those who don’t already know, there is only One who can Truly save a Life.). They sold us through fear.
Since, then I have noticed that they make us think what they want us to think in order to sell something. Those of us who have been around awhile will know that the perspectives on “going bald, skin, fat, thin, over active children, ozone, oil, war, sad, anxious…” have greatly been changed. I could go on and on with this list. I am sure there are those of us who are old enough to remember when many of these things were normal things to be dealt with, and not a crisis that we must live in constant fear.
What a tangled can of worms because of Fear and all the Lies that have been directed our way in-order to make a buck!
My goodness! There is a law for everything nowadays. There is a pill for everything nowadays. Has anyone seen someone who as a minor ailment, get treated for it; then the next thing you know they are a total addicted wreck? This pill takes care of this, but it has this side effect. So here is a pill to take care of that side effect… and on and on.
Where am I going with all this? I have found freedom! It wasn’t through a country, a state, a county and certainly not through the news, television or a pill. It didn’t come by serving in the USMC for six years. Freedom didn’t come from anything that I have been told in the world by the world, as to what will make me free. Truth is; I am relaxed and Free; from, by and through Christ. It is that simple!
It has been said, “Become passersby.” Not with an I don’t care attitude. But with an I Understand and that I do not have to get caught up in what the world wants me to get caught up in; DISTRACTION. Anything to keep me from seeing the Truth. And not what the Truth is, but who the Truth is.
I have been allowed to write a book entitled WORDS A Prophecy Fulfilled. Some of what you may find inside this book is an explanation for the need for trouble to be fulfilled. Understanding troubles existence and purpose. How to see the grand opportunities in trouble.
One thing is for certain, Trouble does exist! Why? Why no matter what we do, no matter how much we try to be safe, no matter how hard we try to prevent trouble, why does trouble always find us? What did Christ mean when he said, “Needs be but trouble must come.” What need?
